Media & Communication Technology industry model was developed to highlight the applications, products and services that facilitate the creation/capture, management, distribution, and utilization of video, audio, animation and graphics. From an entertainment perspective, these digital technologies are creating operational efficiencies, compelling content, increased interactivity, new user experiences, and alternative advertising options. From an enterprise perspective, the combination of video, images, audio, graphics, data, and other inputs are creating an otherwise unattainable user experience for corporate communications, eLearning, and digital signage.

The basic building blocks for successful online media broadcasting are comprised of:

  1. Media Encoding - Highly automated process for audio/video encoding at mass volumes
  2. Media Management – Centralized management of all metadata, graphics and clips
  3. Media Publishing – Optimal user-experience using our extensive branding API
  4. Global Delivery – Broadcasting digital media to a worldwide streaming audience
  5. Robust Ad Delivery – Worldwide ad delivery infrastructure to assure best quality and feature set
  6. Robust Media Tracking – Global ability to log media delivery & generate relevant reports

User-generated content (UGC) is a term that has come into the mainstream during 2005 in web publishing and new media content production circles. It refers to online content that is produced by users as opposed to traditional media producers such as broadcasters and production companies. The concept of users generating material is similar to, and may stem from, free software which encourages projects to be licensed in such a way as to allow users to contribute and improve it, as well as learn from it.

Content Management System (CMS)

Integration The primary function of the (CMS API) is to provide data customer video portals that are based on the CMS Platform. The API’s primary function is to retrieve site, channel, and playlist information to platform independent video portals using soap/xml based calls.

This full API is the base product that enables third parties to interact with the CMS platform using web services that allow integration with other applications therefore removing reliance on the CMS user interface for many commonly performed tasks.

Automated Encoding

This post production facility can manage both manual and automated encoding requirements. This platform is designed to manage bulk processing and developed specifically for this process.

The purpose of this project was to allow the producers/suppliers of the Content Management System framework to upload their metadata and Digital Assets into the Content Management System framework with seamless integration into the process. This process would give more control to the producers/suppliers to ingest their content into the Content Management System framework with minimal delays in the process.
